Jack and Beyond Christmas Cakes, an award-winning online cake shop in Fulham, London, recently sought to find the most popular Christmas recipes for 2021 using TikTok, where Christmas recipe hashtags have over 135 million views.

Yelp’s data science team analyzed millions of reviews to find the words and phrases that were rising significantly between 2020 and 2021 across food. Finally, it consulted with Yelp Trend Expert Tara Lewis to zero in on what to watch for the year ahead.

USDA Offering $1.5 Billion in School Meal Help

A $1.5 billion program to provide states and school districts facing challenges with school meal programs because of supply chain disruptions was announced Dec. 17, the USDA will provide $1 billion for schools to buy foods for meal programs, $300 million to purchase foods to be distributed to schools and another $200 million for cooperative agreements to purchase local food.
